I'm Tony Allwood, a web design and marketing professional based in Hamilton, New Zealand. I’ve been involved in business networking since 2000, when I launched my first company in the UK. Just three days in, I joined my first networking group—and I haven’t stopped since.

Over the years, I’ve developed practical, no-nonsense networking techniques through real-world experience. That journey led to Beyond the Comfort Zone, a clear and practical guide for small business owners who want to give better referrals, attract more connections, and grow through genuine relationships. It’s built on what actually works, not theory, offering tools and strategies you can apply right away.

My writing reflects what I do every week: run a marketing business, show up to networking events, and help others become more referable without relying on gimmicks or jargon. I continue to refine the book based on feedback from readers and the evolving challenges of small business life.

For Your Tomorrows is a different kind of book. It’s reflective, honest, and deeply personal. It draws on memories, questions, and stories that sat with me until they demanded to be written down. Inspired in part by my Great Uncle Walter, it explores how we see the world—and how the smallest moments often shape us most.

I was born in the UK in the 1960s and have since called a few places home. Today, I live in New Zealand, co-owning a digital agency by day and writing in the quiet hours with coffee in hand.
